The sampler has ten rows of alphabets and numbers separated by narrow crossbands. There is an ampersand as the twenty-seventh letter of the alphabet in rows four and ten and simple motifs at the terminus of rows seven, nine, ten, thirteen and sixteen.

The inverse verso and verso images shows a piece of midline vertically oriented added fabric reinforcing midline crease/fold damage.

Little is known about Eunice Louisa Inman. She was born circa 1819 but as of yet, AKS has been unsuccessful in finding her place of birth. Internet genealogy research for Eunice herself is nearly fruitless. However, a Eunice Inman with a given birthplace of “Kentucky” was married to a James Lambert and there is record of one child of this union, named Mary Lambert Perkins (spouse:James William Perkins of Todd County, Kentucky). Mary Lambert Perkins was born March 12, 1847 in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, Kentucky and died in Chicago, Illinois January 7, 1935 and was buried in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Crown Hill Cemetery as was James W. Perkins (see ancillary images).
If the above conjecture is accurate, Eunice Louisa Inman would have been approximately twenty-seven years old when her daughter Mary Lambert was born.
As of yet, AKS has not been able to find other information regarding Eunice Louisa Inman.
